We've been dusting off some vinyl sleeves and taking time to enjoy the mundane little things.
Well Maybe it's time to bust out that ink pen and write a letter to a loved one, or to a stranger, or to a long lost friend.
If you need ideas where to start, I thought I'll make some letter templates. More to come. Please print and use them, they can't wait to be filled in with your thoughts!

This was a volunteer passion project. I'm grateful that I could help this great organization in some small way. ORC was established late last year by a couple of mothers, who just couldn't stay on the sidelines watching the refugee crisis unfold in Europe. They sprinted into action, raising thousands of dollars in only few months and then hand delivered backpacks, full of necessities, to refugee children arriving to Greece every day. More trips are being scheduled as they recieve more donations.
Learn about the organization at www.OperationRefugeeChild.org and DONATE.

Here's my submission for MOBY's music video competition on Genero.tv
Made for fun using all the footage I shot out of the plane windows over the years and short bits of animation.
The judging has started. Wish me luck!

Almost forgot that I shot this music video for a Russian R&B artist Airat in 2008 -- the first music video I ever directed, or my first ever video project for that matter.
It was a real guerilla style filmmaking. I had a Soviet-made Super 8mm camera and a small photo camera that also could take videos. We walked around Kazan, Russia, and recorded images spontaneously, to illustrate a crumbling romantic relationship.

In the past two months, I got a chance to work at Titmouse animation as one of the lead compositors for "Metalocalypse: Doomstar Requiem" -- a one-hour animated opera special. Catch it on Adult Swim.

Just wrapped on a short film "You" directed by Polina Gorbacheva, which I production designed. We got to shoot on a helipad in the middle of downtown LA. Really enjoyed this project! I got a chance to be creative with designing a somewhat surreal set up on a roof, complete with grass mats and sculptural objects.

My obsession for miniature things was fulfilled on my recent job as a prop master for Wundur's spec commercial.
I had to create a miniature version of a leather Ikea chair. So much fun! Too bad I didn't get to keep it in the end.
